Charlie Day
When asked to speak at the commencement at Merrimack College in 2014, actor Charlie Day said that there’s nothing an honorary doctorate degree can do for him. Toiling hard to earn the degree, he said that it would do nothing for them. He clarified that it’s because a college degree cannot be exchanged for cash; cannot be used for interview or audition and can’t be eaten. He added that while it is possible to smoke the diploma he would not recommend it.
