Larue Martin, No1., 1972, Trail Blazers
Larue Martin has long been considered as the one of the biggest NBA draft busts. He was picked first in a class, which included future Hall of Famers Bob McAdoo and Julius Erving. He was drafted as a center by the Trail Blazers on the ground of his outplaying Bill Walton in the NCAA. The Trail Blazers also drafted Walton in 1974. During his best season, he had 7 points per game, shooting 0.452 from the field. He tallied these numbers while Walton was sidelined with injuries.
