The most notable thing about Kent Benson’s career was that he got punched for overly aggressive play two minutes into his first ever NBA game. Benson had a broken jaw and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar broke his arm with that punch. In 11 seasons, Benson played for 4 teams. In a lackluster draft pool, the players who performed best during their careers included Norm Nixon, Jack Sikma, Bernard King, and Cedric Maxwell. On a side note, Bruce Jenner, the 1976 Olympics gold medalist in decathlon was also drafted on the 7th round.
