The Flathead Catfish
The flathead catfish prefers to inhabit pools that are laden with debris as well as rivers where it can easily ambush its next meal. Even its mottled yellow and brown colors don’t greatly differ from others of its kind. Its flathead appearance is quite distinctive. The flat head is usually accentuated with oval shaped eyes as well as a protruding lower jaw. This catfish’s diet mainly consists of small fish and insects.
