TV host Ellen DeGeneres said she instantly said yes to be the commencement speaker at Tulane University in New Orleans in 2009 without thinking. While she did not receive a college education, she’s a big celebrity and finds it weird to wear a robe at 10 in the morning. DeGeneres said she did not have any ambition and dated men when she was their age, and joked that maybe when they reached her age, they’d be gays as well.
