The Lau-Lau (Piraiba)
This particular catfish earned its reputation of being a man-eater. These predators are generally aggressive and feed on fish. However, the stomach contents of the lau-lau that has been caught include the body parts of monkeys as well as other mammals. If you aim to angle for a lau-lau, it’s best to use a dead or live fish attached at the bottom of the river.
